I'm an Author at Last!

I've just recently received a parcel containing a little pile of books. And the author of these books?.....ME!

I have finally achieved a lifetime ambition - writing a book! Didn't think in a million years it would be about bloody cancer, but actually, when I've read through it, its not really about cancer at all - its about me, my little family and my friends, just getting on with life for 7 months.

I am so chuffed with it!

  1. Absolutely bloody fantastic Shents! A real example of turning something so crap into something outstandingly great - well done you.

Now I can say 'My friend Shents, the author of 'Keep Yer Hair on'....:-)))
    Sounds so cool eh

Am sending your blog link to Paula who's interested in writing a book about her blog..then she can see what she can do herself

  3. I can't tell you how delighted I am with it! Ever since I was a dot I have wanted to be a writer! Well now I am! (even though there are only 6 copies of this book in the whole wide world!!)

I've left instructions about Blurb on the CR Forum. Paula - if you're keen, just do it girl!

  6. David - Why don't you try making up a book with some of your lovely photos in? They make fantastic presents for not a lot of money! It is such a great way to keep your mind off the crap side of things. I would imagine that you would love to faff about getting your pics 'just right' and the sense of achievement you feel when you get to see your book is overwhelming. Go for it! x

Paula - you are so right. I can now look back on the last few months and say 'ah yes - that was the time I published a book,' NOT 'Oh God, that was the time I had cancer...'
Give me a shout if you need any help. I'm not sure how well I described the whole thing on the forum, but I'm sure you'll find it fairly straightforward when you get going. Let me know how you get on! I'd really recommend you do it x
